| EXACTLY! lol.
i got everything to get it done today. but the driveshaft i got is the same one that i had! so i gotta take it back and hope they have a 52" driveshaft! and if i cant find one then im going to have to get one custom built or move my motor back 4 inches which also means moving my firewall back 4 inches! lol.

| yeah, we'd have to wire up the big lathe tho, because the driveshaft wouldnt fit on the small one. then chop it, weld it, and balance it. or have it taken to a machine shop and put a longer tube on it. | |

| yeah, its no biggy just getting a tube to do it.
my welding rods are crappy, and i think the 220 welder might burn through it. alot of people dont really relize how thin a driveshaft really is! lol

| They don't have to be thick because they're not subjected to shear stress. All they do is spin. There I go gettin all technical, I guess that's the aircraft mechanic in me coming out. | |

| yeah, the U joints are the weakest point on a driveshaft. then you got the spline on a 700r4 thats aluminum! (from what i hear) thats why i bought a TH350.
i also hear aluminum driveshafts are actually stronger. what do you guys think? true? or false?
and i'd say a 18 wheeler is under a bit of stress! thats why they have two driveshafts with two differentials! i had to put tires on one before, talk about fun. spray it full of ether and light er up.. BOOM!!!! its on the rim, then put air to it to put the fire out inside =P

| hey, if i move the motor back 4 inches it will pull a wheelie easier! well a little bit! haha. i doubt 4 inches would make a difference tho.. | |
