| What does everyone think about this little boost for our economy? Will it help out this time or is it too late? On the other hand when/if you get yours, any plans for it? | |

| This stimulus is a joke. You're gonna see a whole $15 extra in your paycheck for 26? weeks. The best stimulus they could have done for the economy, is take all of the money that they spent on TARP ($700 billion), the automaker loans ($30 billion), and this new joke of a package ($800 billion), and divide it up between taxpayers making less than $75,000 for single/$150,000 for married. That would have given people about $5000/$10000 respectively. THAT would have stimulated the economy, while at the same time actually HELPING people that need help. After that they should also abolish the income tax and institute the Fair Tax (google it). Then, not only would people in need be getting fat checks from the gubment, but they would no longer have any deductions taken out of their paychecks for taxes/social security/medicare, which, at least in my case, would be an extra $500+ a month. AND it has been proven by multiple sources that the Fair Tax would actually generate more than DOUBLE the revenue the current income tax system does. AND the government would also be cutting costs because the IRS would be downsized, we're talking about a 90% cut in the amount of resources needed to run it. Sounds like win/win to me.
But, Obama got elected, and the libtards are in control. So welcome to the USSA, The United Socialist States of America. | |
