| well, me and a friend have started another project but this is just something to do from the ground up in spare time. were putting a CB650 4 cyl. SOHC motorcycle engine on a go cart frame. still a work in progress. we have bets that it wont happen but we shall see. expected time for it to be done is about a week. two at the most. still making mounts for the engine and everything else. making a coupling for the sprocket to go on the drive shaft for the posi rear end. connecting lights, clutches, gas pedal, tachometer and such. we also have to lenthen the frame about a foot or so. when its all said and done it will basically be a mini funnycar. | |

| well for the past week i've been working on a gocart project. me and my buddy have been putting this together from scratch. we bought the motorcycle without a title and pulled the engine, and scrapped the frame. pulled the axle and cut the frame. frame we started off with. slid on the custom made sprocket. just sittin now until the motor is mounted and chain gets aligned. we also cut a spot out of the frame for the oil pan. then we sat the motor on it, aligned it and ground where we needed to weld the motor mounts. for motor mounts we just cut the bottom end of the motorcycle frame out. each side had 3 mounts each. then i just welded that to the frame nice and solid. putting sprockets on. aligning the chain. then we welded the sprocket to the axle shaft. its a beefy steel sprocket so we dont have to really worry about it wearing down and replacing it. should last the lift of the cart. pulled the carbs for cleaning. and started on wiring the engine for electric start, the charging systems. CDI units, rectifiers, etc. mounted and grounded/connected all of it. the battery box is held to the frame by 6 strong tack's. got everything mounted and working. then it was time to lenthen the frame. got round stock and cut and supported alot of the frame. also used little steel plates to give it that extra lil bit. this was just to test it. painted the frame honda red. also mounted a sissy bar to keep the rider off the exhaust. also welded in a seat. and made a shifter with a hand clutch. and connected the throttle to a foot pedal. the frame looks like its bowing but its not, it was just welded like that. my bad! but this design held up great. i even jumped a lil hill and got some air and it held together fine. everything works great and doesnt break. so from here on out everything else is just making it beefier and making the frame stronger. were also going to weld side bars to make the frame alot stronger. and probably put some air scoops on the sides to better help cool the engine. other then that its just tuning the engine and getting it to run better. here's pix. here's a few video's. first start up. https://s416.photobucket.com/albums/pp249/n0limits0ldier/?action=view¤t=CLIP0376.flvhttps://s416.photobucket.com/albums/pp249/n0limits0ldier/?action=view¤t=CLIP0385.flvhttps://s416.photobucket.com/albums/pp249/n0limits0ldier/?action=view¤t=CLIP0386.flvhttps://s416.photobucket.com/albums/pp249/n0limits0ldier/?action=view¤t=CLIP0390.flvnow paul did not open it up in any of these video's. he was getting used to it. its actually kinda scary. the carts expected to run about 120-130 mph but were not going to get anywhere close to that speed. since the tire ratio was changed so much it probably will run about 100 now.(with the engine running perfect) kinda funny taking a deep breath, mashing the pedal down and watch as the houses turn into tunnel vision. the main thing before it really gets topped out is the framework really needs alot more support to where it wont bend or flex. | |

| here's a couple more pictures of the side rail additions with the tach, oil, and nuetral lights mounted. still no video. raining all day =[ were also going to pull the exhaust pipes. its alot quieter but it kills performance. theres enough exaust on it not to burn a valve anyways. | |

| same day! all rainy! sold my truck! i payed 450 for it, spent 80$ on a radiator and about 100 on a tune up + rebuilding the carb. + another 30 for the brand new fuel pump that was on it. so i kinda took a loss on it. but i got $400 cash. which was good stating i broke the powersteering and it needed a tire and whatnot. anyways on to the next vehicle! wonder what ima pick up next! i just bought the CR250R (the one im catwalkin in my pic) for $150. the reason i got it so cheap is because the cylinder is scored, i kinda did that =X but 100 bux will fix it. saving up like 2k and buying a nice S10 or toyota. or something. | |
