So I picked up another truck through Craigslist for $360 bucks.
Here it is:
It's a 1993 Chevy S-10 reg cab 2wd with the 2.8 V-6 and man Trans.
With low low 216K on the clock!
It drove good around the block before I bought it and after I paid the man I drove it home almost 45 mins with no problems. It ran good, and drove straight.
I've always wanted to do a Rat Rod so here is my chance.
I decided to do a beer theme with some of the beer things I have collected over the years.
My plans are to flat black it with the same chalk board paint I used on the hood of the van and lower it 4/5 with the help from some parts I bought off of Chips. The wheels will be Key Lime Green wrapped in bias ply huge white wall tires from Matt's dad.
Man I am excited about this project!
Here are some interior pics:
I put on an old red Grant steering wheel I had laying around and an Old Style tap handle for a shifter. I wrapped the glove box door in old burlap.
I also wrapped the A and B pillars in burlap and accented them with bottle caps.
Then came the headliner, I took 6 pack cardboard carriers and stapled them all over the headliner. I did this with the headliner out so I could bend over the staples so they would stay put.
I also used some old coasters from bars that unfortunately are no longer around.
This is why I need old license plates and metal beer signs.
If anyone has any input on the ride please let me know, I am always open to ideas!
