| so I'm thinking of just putting the original transmission in the camaro and selling it. hopefully i could get the 1200 i put into it. but I'd be happy with 1000. the reason being is mainly the economy.
the economy is to bad to build a race car right now. i could be spending money on other things. plus without a steady job, its hard!
also, gas is a big problem. with the TH350 trans without a over drive. and the 750 or 850 carb.. whatever it is. I'm looking at anywhere from 3-8 miles to a gallon.
so i cant feed the demon what it wants either. before i bought this, i wanted a truck. I'm stupid for not getting one, because i cant go in the woods even with the camaro done. it sits maybe 3 inches off the ground (the front clip)
also, i want something thats a 4x4 and that is also a manual. either 4 or 5 speed. 4 or 6 cylinder.
i really want a lil Toyota because they have proven themselves to me. but i would like a 4 or 5 speed 4x4 S10 just as much. I'd be happy with a 2wd truck tho. as long as its a standard. don't want to go through a swap from auto to standard! throwing a transfer case and front differential under it probably wouldn't be too hard. allot of people do it so i don't think so. but i could be wrong. if i ever got stuck in mud i could always get the party barge to pull me out ;-) (other post of the camp)
this is still in debate. i don't want to sell it. i love the car. but i think it would be better. plus if i kept it I'd probably wrap myself around a tree at 140 or 150 miles a hour!
opinions? i know I'm wishy washy about what i want but i think I've made up my mind.

| Honestly, I'd say spray on a quickie duplicolor paint job, make it look as good as possible, and sell it for $1500. If it's running well, and looks decent, someone will buy it for that. Then get yourself a 4x4. I honestly do not see you picking up a toyota of any year for that little money though, for some reason people think their toyotas are made of gold. You could get an Isuzu, S10, or Ranger for that though. | |

| Honestly, and I'm gonna sound like an old man here, get the vehicle that is more PRACTICAL for you. You're young, you have plenty of time to buy toys. You do a lot of offroading, so I would slap a cheap paintjob on the camaro and sell it to buy a 4x4.
Maybe Jeffro should change my tag to "Forum Dad"

| Don't blame you for being leary of Fords, but their full sized trucks are sweet. And don't leave Nissan out either. I personally think they build a better truck than Toyota, and believe me, I did a lot of research to come to that conclusion, which is why I bought the Frontier instead of the Tacoma. Don't get me wrong, the Toyota is a great truck, but Nissan pulls off the compact/midsize truck better IMHO. | |
