| ROADTRIIIIIP! idk, just wanted to shout it. but me and a friend of mine have been wanting to go to tenesee for sometime now. well mainly him, but he wants me to see the state. then i wanna go up and see north carolina. we did the distances on google map and for a round trip were looking at around 2,000 miles. for gas we came to a total of around $500 maybe 600 for a round trip now this is calculated at 10 miles per gallon! so its in the favor of us. my truck should get about 12-15 miles to a gallon. as far as i know w/ the 350 sbc, muncie 4 speed and 4.10 12 bold rear end. but i know it gets atleast 10 miles to the gallon. we'll probably get 600-700$$ just to be safe but im still running it by my folks and still gathering the cash. but were hoping to be gone by june 30th. our travel plans are from florida, to tenessee, to north carolina and back. any body live up that way? or been there? | |

| NC is nice if you stay in the western mountains or the eastern outer banks area. The middle of the state completely SUCKS. Trust me, I lived there for 7 life sucking years. | |

| I would say leave the carolinas out of it and spend a few days in TENN. The coast is nice in NC and SC but I think you have seen enough coast line!
Get some nice tents and go camping in TENN!!! that place is great for that! Canoe some rivers and such! | |

| the thing is, i want to go into the coast gaurd. if i went in the reserve which i REALLY REALLY DO NOT want to do, they would keep me 100 miles close to my house. but if i go to regular coast gaurds i would be a lil of everywhere! so the coast really doesnt matter. | |

| Might want to keep a gas log for the next couple of tanks and manually calculate your mileage to get a good feel for your mileage. | |

| long story. the speedo didnt work when i got the truck. checked the cables and it turns when im driving so thats good. so i pulled the speedo. the shaft was gunked up so i had to pull the spindle off because it was turning too stiff. i couldnt get it apart because of the needle. trying to get the needle off i broke it off. | |
